Xiaomi Inc. is a privately owned Chinese electronics company headquartered in Beijing, China. It is the world’s 4th largest smartphone maker. Xiaomi designs, develops, and sells smartphones, mobile apps, and related consumer electronics. In-spite of being one of the largest it is also the cheapest among its competitors.
In a recent MWC (Mobile World Congress) Xiaomi showed off its latest achievement, the Xiaomi Mi5 and the Xiaomi Mi5 PRO. The company showcased the phone with pride. The flagship that was presented was not only boasting its glamour and the high specs but also the price of the phone which undoubtedly stands out of the competition.
I will be giving a detailed review and opinion on the phone.

BODY
A flawless piece of art, is what this phone is, p.s: they didn’t pay me say this though :P, but seriously this phone pretty slim, light weight, and a total elegant product. The phone is only 7.3 mm thick and 129 gm (glass body) and 139 gm (ceremic body).
The phone comes in two variant and three colours. The glass body comes with three colours i.e. white, gold and black and the ceramic body only comes with the black back. the phone houses a metal frame that seamlessly blend with glass/ceramic back with the help of a technology they like to call “3D glass”, no offence intended but it just sounds confusing. 3D glass back just a curved glass that curves to meet the metal frame to make make it look as one piece. It actually looks good though.
PERFORMANCE
Off the charts, at least according to the data that they have provided. Can’t actually judge the phone without testing it. Xioami Mi5 32GB consists of a 1.8 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with Adreno 530 GPU along side a 3GB RAM, 64GB consists of a 2.15 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with Adreno 530 GPU along side a 3GB RAM and the Mi5 Pro (128GB) consists of a 2.15 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with Adreno 530 GPU along side a 4GB RAM.
Antutu benchmark score for the 2.15 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 reaches around 140,000 which is pretty record shattering, no phone has yet reached that score. Xiaomi Mi5 is the first mobile to be shipped with the snapdragon 820 chip which might or might not, cant say for sure, have issue with the working. the company claims that the processor is twice as fast as snapdragon 810, the GPU is 40% faster than its predecessor, LPDDR4 RAM is twice as fast as LPDDR3 RAM and the Flash drive is 87% faster than there last phone. Those are some bold and confident statements they have put.

CAMERA
There is not much that can be said about the camera without testing it in different conditions. The company reclaims to have worked real hard on the camera on Xiaomi Mi5. On the back we have a 16 MP camera rig which homes the Sony IMX298 HD sensor, DTI crosstalk suppresion, and a 4-axis OIS, which we will talk in a while, And a large 2μm 4MP front camera.
Now about the 4-axis OIS, it is a technology created by Xiamoi for the camera rig. In a normal OIS camera the shakes will be avoided only if the phone right or left but in a nutshell what happens in 4-axis OIS is that even if the phone moves up or down or left or right it image or video comes out to be pretty stable…. one can actually see the lens move if you shake the phone.
